I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I graduated from Roosevelt University in Chicago, IL with an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My work has consisted of assisting individuals within the criminal justice system, providing case management and counseling services and working at Employee Assistance Programs. I specialize in working with adults age 18-65 on depression, anxiety and life transitions.
I have over 20 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in clinical practice with the privilege of working with diverse populations facing a wide range of issues, and in various community-based settings. I attended the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) where i earned my Masters degree in Social Work. I work with adults, older adolescents, and families.
I have a unique and creative way of utilizing different therapeutic tools to match my client’s needs and individual issues. My focus is to create a trusting and safe environment to enable my clients to explore their deepest feelings and thoughts. I rely on an empathetic and motivational approach, as well as on the principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and utilizing EMDR treatment.
